Marco Polo is a producer's producer: an MPC, a wall of records and no shortcuts. Since his 2007 debut Port Authority on Rawkus, he has built a catalog of pure boom bap - albums with Masta Ace, Hannibal Stax and a list of features that reads like a golden-era lineup: Nas, Scarface, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Pharoahe Monch, Large Professor, Artifacts.
His instrumental series The Many Moods of Marco Polo became a crate for other producers too: DJ Premier sampled Vol. 1 on four tracks of Nas’ Light Years.
